Sunday Beach & Samoan Buffet - Groups Only
Sunday in Samoa is a Day of Rest, going to church and having the most important communal meal of the week (to’ana’i). Locals take pride in dressing immaculately in white for the afternoon service. It is a day of rest and relaxation and most importantly spending time with family and friends.
For those staying at Aggie Grey’s Lagoon Beach Resort & Spa your day begins with a stop at Malua Theological College to view turtles in their natural habitat. We then pick up guests from the Apia area before continuing our excursion along the Cross Island Road through villages with colourful gardens, lush tropical rainforest, majestic mountains and spectacular views. The first stop is at Papapapaiuta Falls, set in lush surroundings and dropping spectacularly into an old volcanic crater. We then continue our journey to the Southern coast of Upolu Island to our lunch destination at Lupes Bar and Restaurant. Here you will sample a buffet of delicious Samoan, Asian and European dishes and this is your chance to taste our local Sunday lunch (to’ana’i) delicacies. Two hours will be spent at the white sand Lupesina Beach which is ideal for sunbathing, swimming or just relaxing with a refreshing drink.
Our return journey takes us on the South West coast via Plantation Road where much of our local produce is grown to be sold at our markets. We then make a last stop at Malua to see the turtles before the tour delivers passengers back to their hotel.
