Drive from the pier to Aggie Grey’s Homestead and Surroundings. Aggie Grey is a famous self made Samoan woman that started her Hotel business in the 1940s. Her humble beginnings and interesting story is one that credits her survival instincts and business sense! We will be hosted by someone of the family that will give an account of how this amazing entrepreneur started. An opportunity to walk through the organic gardens, plantations and resting place of Aggie and her sisters is of an added interest. You will also be served with local fruits and lemon juice here at Aggie’s Homestead.
The trip continue and stop at Robert Stevenson’s former home as this is where the novelist lived the final 4 years of his life. Today, it houses a museum and during your visit you will learn about the history of the home and its former residents. The Tour continue and visit the markets in Apia not only allows you to see the many varieties of fruits and vegetables available, but also invites you to browse for handicrafts and souvenirs.
